I’m Alex Mura, a London-based author and independent publisher. My books blend elements of psychological thriller, body horror and literary fiction.

When I finished writing Silence in the Basement, I decided to publish it myself through Hanabi Press, an imprint I created to give me full creative control and learn the publishing process inside out. Recently, Hanabi has expanded to include a growing line of streetwear and accessories inspired by books, readers, and the space where fiction meets fashion.

I also run Mura Society, a book club and community space for readers, writers and gamers.
